I am going toward solid state physics in my research. To strengthen my background on the topic, I was searching for some good books. Throughout the search on the internet, I found the following list of books more recommended.

Radioactivity of Drinking Water in Ardabil, Iran

For measuring the radioactivity of materials in comparison to ²³⁸ U, there are two common methods: 1) neutron activation spectroscopy and 2) gamma spectroscopy. There is doubt amongst people who live nearby Savalan volcanic mountain about the level of radioactive materials in the city network water. They suspect that the high level of cancer roots in this factor. Of course, it can be true but should be tested. The thing that is needed to be done is a standard measurement of the activity level using one of these instruments. These instruments are most probably available in the laboratories belong to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). They are even available in the Iran Nanotechnology Laboratory Network (here). The water samples should be taken from different water resources, tested and compared to standard levels.
